Digitalisasi dan Imperialisme Masakan Korea: Tantangan Melestarikan Makanan Warisan Budaya dalam Pariwisata Global

Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana platform digital dan sistem algoritma memengaruhi cara masakan Korea ditampilkan dan dipahami dalam pariwisata global. Berangkat dari kritik terhadap teori imperialisme budaya klasik yang menekankan dominasi negara dan media besar, penelitian ini memperkenalkan gagasan imperialisme kuliner algoritmik—sebuah konsep yang melihat bagaimana kekuasaan simbolik bekerja melalui sistem digital yang mengatur apa yang terlihat dan tidak terlihat. Melalui mixed method—survei terhadap 420 responden, analisis SEM, dan studi konten digital—penelitian ini menemukan: paparan konten kuliner Korea secara online meningkatkan persepsi autentisitas dan minat wisata. Namun, pada saat yang sama, logika algoritma cenderung menyederhanakan budaya agar lebih menarik dan mudah viral. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa platform bukan sekadar saluran distribusi, melainkan ruang yang membentuk cara kita memahami nilai dan makna budaya. Secara lebih luas, studi ini mengajak kita merefleksikan tantangan, menjaga kedalaman warisan kuliner di tengah arus komersialisasi digital yang serba cepat dan visual.
