


Penelitian ini berfokus pada fenomena media dan industri kampanye politik di Indonesia dengan melihat komodifikasi politik akal sehat Rocky Gerung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis komodifikasi politik akal sehat Rocky Gerung dalam industri kampanye politik. Untuk mendapatkan hasil yang komprehensif, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, yang datanya dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka dan analisis isi media. Hasil Penelitian menemukan, Pertama, Rocky Gerung menyempitkan pengertian akal sehat dengan mengesampingkan obyektivitas. Kedua, kampanye akal sehat Rocky Gerung lebih dekat kepada retorika politis daripada suatu konsepsi filosofis. Dengan demikian akal sehat tidak lebih dari komodifikasi politik yang penggunaannya disesuaikan dengan keinginan dan kepentingan subyektifnya yang lekat dengan industri kampanye politik. Ketiga, pendalaman demokrasi Indonesia saat ini terancam oleh munculnya partai-partai yang semakin berorientasi pasar dalam lingkungan media massa dan media sosial yang dikendalikan oleh kepentingan ekonomi politik.
